Module
System-generated, protected field. Indicates the module position in the controller.
Programmed Module Type
For MX, MXe, and LX controllers, select "Dual FIM", "Dual Framer", "T1/E1", "Quad BRI", or "Quad CIM" to match the Installed Module Type.
For the CX, CXi, CX II, or CXi II controller, you can select "T1/E1", "Quad BRI", or "Quad CIM".
For the AX controller, you can select "Dual Framer", "T1/E1", "Quad BRI", or "Quad CIM".
You can install a maximum of two Quad CIM modules in a 3300 ICP controller with the exception of the AX controller which only supports one Quad CIM module. A Quad CIM module provides 4 ports. You can connect an ASU, a Universal ASU, or an ASU II to a Quad CIM port.
Notes:
You cannot install any CIMs in an MXe Server.
On CX, CXi, CX II, and CXi II controllers, only the first three ports on each Quad CIM are functional
— the fourth port is not supported.
