Ensure that the NSU is connected as shown in the Technician's Handbook. See About the 3300 ICP Documentation Set for information on the Technician's Handbook.
Ensure that the correct digital licenses are programmed in the License and Option Selection form.
If connecting through a Dual FIM, ensure the Dual FIM is programmed in the Controller Module Configuration form.
Note: Only R2 NSUs are supported on the AX Controller. The AX Controller can support up to four R2 NSUs. You connect an R2 NSU to the AX Controller via a Dual FIM. In the Controller Module Configuration form, set the Programmed Module Type for Module 1 to "Dual FIM".
To program an NSU:
Network Services Units form.
Set the type of NSU and the protocol to be used.
