Program T1/D4 Trunks

Before You Begin

Ensure that:

For a description of T1/D4 signaling and features, refer to T1/D4 Description.

For instructions on how to configure T1/E1 trunk resiliency, refer to the Resiliency guide on the Mitel documentation web site.

Programming

To program T1/D4 trunks:

  1. Digital Link Descriptors form
    Enter "T1D4" in the Integrated Digital Access field.
    T1 supports CSU mode and DSX-1 mode. 

  2. Digital Links form
    Enter the digital link descriptor number programmed in step 1.

  3. Class of Service Options form
    Set the ANI/DNIS ISDN Number Delivery Trunk field to "Yes" (if provided).

  4. Complete one of the following:

  5. Digital CO Trunk Circuit Descriptors form

  6. Digital DID Trunk Circuit Descriptors form

  1. Digital E & M Trunk Circuit Descriptors form.

  1. Trunk Attributes form
    Enter the COS number programmed in step 3.
    Complete the Non-dial in Trunks Answer Point fields (CO and E&M).
    Complete the Dial in Trunks: Incoming Digit Modification fields (DID).

  2. Digital Trunks form
    Enter a Trunk Number, Trunk Service Number (from step 5), Circuit Descriptor (from step 4), and Interconnect Number.

  3. Network Synchronization form (optional)
    Assign a source connection to a Network Source Clock.

  4. Trunk Groups form
    For outgoing trunks, assign the trunk number (from step 6) to a trunk group.
