The System IP Properties form is used for the following functions:
to program and verify the IP settings for the system
to configure the voice VLAN ID for voice traffic (this field is read-only for the MXe Server) and the data VLAN ID for data traffic (applies to CXi and CXi II only)
to program the Domain Name Server (DNS)
Use this form when performing the following tasks:
If you change
the System IP Properties settings, the changes will take effect after
the next system reboot.
MXe Server only: If the APC IP address changes, an immediate system
reboot is required.
As a general rule, IP address configuration cannot be a broadcast address, a multicast address, or an all zero address.
You can use the Layer 2 (L2) Switch form to assign voice and data VLAN membership on a per port basis (CXi and CXi II only).
All IP addresses for the MXe Server must be on the same subnet.
MXe Server: All of the IP addresses will be read-only in the System IP Properties form.
