If errors occur, the details of the errors are described in the "Other" field of the test results that appear in the lower section of the Line Quality Measure form.
Error (displayed in Other field) |
Meaning and Corrective Action |
PASS or --- |
Test was successful. No problems were detected with the trunk. |
LOADED LOOP |
Test was successful. It is possible that this is a loaded loop. |
NOT CONFIGD |
The circuit is not configured, or it is not IDLE. Please check that the trunk is programmed correctly and an ASU is connected to the CIM port. |
CAN'T SEIZE |
LS Measure tool could not seize the specified trunk. Ensure that the trunk is in the IDLE state. |
NO DIAL TONE |
Dial tone was not detected. The Line Measure Tool seized the trunk but was unable to detect dial tone to make the outgoing call to the CO. Make sure an ASU is connected to the CIM port and that the ASU is programmed. Also make sure the specified LS port is connected to CO. |
ERR DIALING |
There was a problem outpulsing the DTMF digits to the CO. Ensure that the milliwatt tone and silence numbers are valid. Entering # or * in the digit sequence will cause this error. |
ERR RECORD |
The Line Measure Tool was waiting for a signal from the CO, but never received it. Ensure that the milliwatt tone and silence numbers are valid. |
ERR RELEASE |
The test failed. The Line Measure Tool tried to release the trunk, but failed. Make sure the ASU is connected to the CIM port and that the ASU is still programmed. Also make sure the specified LS port is still physically connected to CO. |
STATE ERROR |
The test failed due to a port state machine problem (wrong state)! There was an internal error with the Line Measure Tool. Exit the System Administration Tool. Log back in and try again. |
