Speed Call - User

Description:

Speed Call Keys allow you to store external numbers under feature keys for faster dialing. You can press a Speed Call Key to dial a phone number or, during a call, to outpulse DTMF tones.

Programming

Operation

All telephones except 5001 IP Phone, 5201 IP Phone, 5230 IP Phone and SpectraLink Wireless Telephones users:

To dial a Speed Call number:

  1. Lift handset.

  2. Press a Speed Call key.

SUPERSET 410 and SUPERSET 4001 telephones:

To store a Speed Call number:

  1. Press Program or SuperKey.

  2. Press a Speed Call key.

  3. Dial the number to be stored.

  4. Press Program or SuperKey.

5005 IP phone:

To store a Speed Call number:

SUPERSET 4015 telephones; 5010 IP Phone, 5207 IP Phone, 5212 IP Phone, 5215 IP Phone, 5304 IP Phone, 5312 IP Phone, and 5215 IP Phone (Dual Mode):

To store a Speed Call number:

  1. Press SuperKey.

  2. Press # until "Personal Keys?" appears.

  3. Press *.

  4. Press a personal key that is not a line key.

  5. Press *.

  6. Do one of the following:

  7. To enter a new number, dial the number.

  8. To enter the last number dialed, press Redial.

  1. Press the personal key again.

  3. To make the number private, press *.

  4. To keep the number visible, press #.

  1. Press SuperKey.

SUPERSET 420, SUPERSET 4025, SUPERSET 4125 telephones; 5020 IP Phone, 5220 IP Phone and 5220 IP Phone (Dual Mode), 5224 IP Phone, 5324 IP Phone, and Navigator:

To store a Speed Call number:

  1. Press SuperKey.

  2. Press No until "Personal Keys?" appears.

  3. Press Yes.

  4. Press a personal key that isn't a line key.

  5. Press Change.

  6. Press Yes.

  7. Do one of the following:

  8. To enter a new number, dial the number.

  9. To enter the last number dialed, press Redial.

  10. To clear the existing number, do nothing.

  1. If you want to number to be private, press Priv.

  2. Press Save.

  3. Press SuperKey.

5235 IP Phone:

To dial a Speed Call number:

To program Speed Call:

  1. Open the Settings shutter.

  2. Press the scroll arrows ( ) until the My Phone Setup shutter label is listed.

  3. Press the My Phone Setup label.

  4. Press the key you wish to program. A programming window with three tabs displays.

  5. If the Features tab is not selected, press the Features tab.

  6. Use the scroll arrows ( ) to scroll through the features list until Speed Call is listed.

  7. Press Speed Call.

  8. In the Speed Call window, press Label.

  9. In the on-screen keyboard, press the appropriate keys to enter a name or label and press OK.

  10. In the Speed Call window, press Number.

  11. In the on-screen dial pad, press the appropriate numbers for this phone number (up to 26 characters) and click Done.

  12. Click Save.

  13. Note: To return to the features list at any time, press Cancel or the Features List label.

5320 IP Phone, 5330 IP Phone, 5340 IP Phone, 5360 IP Phone:

To dial a Speed Call number:

To program Speed Call:

  1. Press Settings.

  2. Press Programmable Keys.

  3. Press a key you wish to program.

  4. Press Speed Call.

  5. Press Edit Label and enter the label for the Speed Call, and then press Save.

  6. Press Edit Number and enter the telephone number for the Speed Call using the hard dial pad.

  7. Press Save, and then press Save again.

  8. Press Close.

5560 IPT:

To program a Speed Call:

  1. Press Menu.

  2. Press Settings.

  3. Press Programmable Keys.

  4. Press a programmable key that isn't a line key.

  5. Press Speed Call.

  6. Enter the telephone number (up to 26 digits) that you want to store for speed calling.

  7. Press Save.

  8. Press Close.

SUPERSET 430 and SUPERSET 4150 telephones:

To store a Speed Call number:

  1. Press SuperKey.

  2. Press More until Speed Call appears.

  3. Press Speed Call.

  4. Press a personal key that is not a line key.

  5. Do one of the following:
    - To enter a new number, dial the number.
    - To enter the last number dialed, press Redial.

  6. If you want to make the private, press Make Private.

  7. Press Save.

  8. Press SuperKey.

5140 IP Phone and 5240 IP Phone:

To store a Speed Call number:

  1. Press Settings.

  2. Press More.

  3. Press Speed Call.

  4. Select a Personal Key.

  5. Dial the number.

  6. If you want to make the number private, press Make Private.

  7. Press Save.

  8. Press Phone View.

  9. Note: Use the Desktop Tool to assign labels to the associated quick keys.

5230 IP Phone:

  1. Change the Feature Keys application mode to Edit.

  2. Press a Feature Key.

  3. Select Speed Dial in the drop-down menu.

  4. Press OK.

  5. Enter the desired label and number.

  6. Press OK.

SpectraLink Wireless Telephones

To dial a Speed Call number:

  1. Press .

  2. Press FCN then press the shortcut key of the desired speed call number.

To store a Speed Call number:

  1. Press MENU.

  2. Press Supr.

  3. Press No until "Personal Keys?" appears.

  4. Press Yes.

  5. Press FCN.

  6. Press the "Down" button on the left side of the handset to highlight an UNUSED KEY.

  7. Press the "Select" button located on the left side of the handset (middle button) to select the key.

  8. Press Chng.

  9. Press Yes.

  10. Do one of the following:

  11. To enter a new number, dial the number.

  12. To enter the last number dialed, press FCN and then press 4.

  13. To clear the existing number, do nothing.

  1. If you want to number to be private, press Priv.

  2. Press Save.

  3. Press and hold  to power off the phone. Then press to power the phone back on. You must power the phone off and then on again to update the phone menu with the label for the speed call key.
