When the system encounters a Pause while dialing a Speed Call string, the system ceases dialing for the duration of the Pause. When the Pause ends, dialing resumes.
To create a longer Pause, multiple Pauses may be included in a Speed Call string.
If a call enters talk state before the Pause in Speed Call expires, following digits are outpulsed as DTMF tones. All parties in the call hear the DTMF tones.
If a call does not enter talk state before the Pause in Speed Call expires, following digits are outpulsed according to the device type.
If a Pause in Speed Call is longer than the Inter-digit Timer:
The digits before the Pause are processed when the Inter-digit Timer expires. If the digits do not define a valid destination for the call, a dialing error occurs.
When the Pause ends, digits after the Pause are dialed. If the call has not entered talk state, the digits are lost.
If a call is rerouted during a Pause in Speed Call, the pause and all following digits are lost.
If a call is transferred during a Pause in Speed Call, the pause and all following digits are lost. Wait until all pauses are completed, and all digits are outpulsed, before starting and/or releasing a transfer.
If a call is forwarded during a Pause in Speed Call, the pause and all following digits are lost.
A Pause cannot be added to a Call Forwarding destination.
Pause in Speed Call is not available on SUPERSET 401 telephones or on attendant consoles.
SUPERSET 401+, SUPERSET 4001, and 5001 IP telephones are capable of only a single pause.
A Pause cannot be included in a programmed Speedcall in the Multiline Multiline Set Keys form.

A Pause does not appear.
