Program Digital Trunks

Before You Begin

• Ensure that Network Services Units (Universal, R2, and BRI) or required modules (Dual T1/E1 Framer, Quad BRI Framer) are installed and programmed. Refer to Program an NSU or Program Controller Modules for more information.

• Ensure that Interconnect Restriction and Intercept Handling are programmed for each trunk.

Programming

To program digital trunks:

• Select the type of trunk you are programming and complete the forms:

• T1/D4 trunks

• R2 trunks

• DASS II trunks

• MSDN/DPNSS trunks

• Embedded PRI/QSIG Trunks

• PRI/QSIG trunks

• Embedded BRI Trunks

• BRI trunks

• Direct Inward System Access (DISA) trunks

• Note: After the system programming is complete, refer to IMAT for PRI, QSIG and R2 requirements. Refer to the BRI section of help for information on programming the BRI NSU.
