Single Suite Services supports
A single suite consists of a number of interconnected rooms that are always booked as a single unit (suite). A suite can include two or more bedrooms and a common area. It usually includes a single link telephone in each bedroom, and one or more phones in the common area. A single hotel/motel room can be provisioned as a suite to support multiple telephone extensions in the room; therefore, a room can be considered a suite and have its own billing account in PMS.
Single Suite Services supports the static association of one to six telephone extensions in a single suite. A telephone extension may be configured with a Call Delivery Type of "None" for a specific purpose, such as a fax machine or modem line. Single Suite Services always includes shared telephone service in a suite.
Single Suite Services includes the following features:
Suite Pilot Number: A number that identifies a suite for billing purposes and call processing behaviors. This number cannot be used as a telephone extension.
Suite Extension: Any telephone extension that is associated with a suite.
The delivery behavior specified in the Suites form applies when the Suite Pilot number is called. When an individual Suite Extension is called directly, the extension receives the call according to the call behavior specifically programmed on the extension.
Primary Suite Extension: The first telephone extension programmed is automatically identified as the Primary Suite Extension. The configuration of the Primary Suite Extension controls the call behavior of the suite.
At least one telephone extension must have a Call Delivery Type of "Immediate" programmed in the Suites form.
Note: You can use Flexible Dimensioning to increase the maximum number of suites and linked suites that the system supports. Refer to Change Resource Dimensions for instructions.
