Do Not Disturb

Description:

Do Not Disturb (DND) stops internal calls from ringing a user's telephone and returns busy tone to the caller. DND does not stop external calls from ringing nor does it affect the user's ability to make calls.

Conditions and Feature Interactions

• DND does not affect Recall or Callback.

• Incoming DID and DIL calls over DASSII trunks always override DND unless call forwarding or system rerouting for busy state takes place. Overriding for other types of DID trunks is optional; see Programming below for details.

• A page group cannot be placed in DND.

• Generally, DND only applies to the prime line of a physical device. However,

• for Multicall Groups, all members of the group must be in DND in order for a call to the group to receive DND.

• for Key System Groups, only the prime number of the group must be in DND in order for a call to the group to receive DND.

Programming

• Enable the following in the Class of Service Options form:

• Do Not Disturb: Allows a station to set DND.

• Do Not Disturb - Access to Remote Phones: Allows a station to set DND on other phones in the local or remote network.

• (Optional) If you want incoming DID/DDI trunk calls to override DND at the called extension and ring it if idle, set Do Not Override DND for Public Network DID/DDI Callers to "Yes" in the System Options form.

• Enable the ANSWER PLUS MITEL Call Distribution (MCD) feature for remote use of DND.

• If you intend to use feature access codes in Operation, assign the following codes in the Feature Access Codes form:

• Do Not Disturb

• Do Not Disturb Cancel

• Do Not Disturb Remote

• Do Not Disturb Cancel Remote

• If you intend to use a feature key in Operation, program a Do Not Disturb key in the Multiline Set Keys form or use Superkey (see Feature Keys for more information on Superkey programming).

Operation

2500, SUPERSET 401, SUPERSET 401+, and SUPERSET 4001 telephones; 5001 IP Phone, 5201 IP Phone, and 5302 SIP Phone:

To activate Do Not Disturb:

1. Lift the handset.

2. Dial the Do Not Disturb Feature Access code.

3. Hang up.

To de-activate Do Not Disturb:

1. Lift the handset.

2. Dial the Cancel Do Not Disturb Feature Access code.

3. Hang up.

• Press Do Not Disturb feature key.

• Press the Do Not Disturb feature key on the PDA (must be programmed).

To de-activate Do Not Disturb:

• Press the Do Not Disturb – Cancel feature key on the PDA (must be programmed).

To activate Do Not Disturb for a remote station:

• Press the Do Not Disturb – Remote feature key on the PDA (must be programmed).

To de-activate Do Not Disturb on a remote station:

• Press the Do Not Disturb– Remote Cancel feature key on the PDA (must be programmed).

   To Turn On the feature - press RCL (On).
   To Turn Off the features - press RCL (Off).

1. Press FCT.

2. Press Top Arrow Key until SuperKey? appears.

3. Press Send Key.

4. Press Top Right Hand Key until Do Not Disturb? appears.

5. Do one of the following:
   To Turn On the feature - press Top Left Key (TurnOn).
   To Turn Off the features - press Top Left Key (TurnOff).

1. Press SND.

2. Dial the Do Not Disturb Remote feature access code.
