Setting up Auto Attendant Park and Page
(Embedded Voice Mail)

To set up Auto Attendant Park and Page

  1. Program the following options in the Class of Service of the voice mail ports:

  2. Call Park – Allowed to Park = Yes

  3. Call Park Timer = 10 to 600 seconds (default 180 seconds)

  1. Program access codes for Call Park and Call Park - Retrieve in the Feature Access Codes form.

  2. Add a Park and Page mailbox using the VM Mailboxes or User and Device Configuration form.

  3. Assign the Park and Page mailbox to a menu node in the VM Multi-Level Auto Attendants form.

  4. Record the name and paging announcement for the Park and Page mailbox either by logging into mailbox from a telephone and using the TUI, or by uploading a WAV file using the System Audio Files Update form.
    Example
    : "Mens Wear" (name) "Call Holding on Line 1" (greeting).

  5. Program a paging treatment for the Park and Page mailbox in the Call Park form.

  6. Program Call Park - Retrieve feature keys on phones to be used to retrieve the parked calls.

  7. Test the setup as follows:

  8. call the Auto Attendant from an outside line.

  9. when prompted, press the digit key corresponding to the Park and Page mailbox. You should hear, "Please hold for" and the Park and Page Mailbox "name" followed by the paging announcement programmed in Step 4.

  10. verify that the call can be retrieved from a phone using the programmed Call Park - Retrieve key (or the equivalent feature access code + the Park and Page mailbox number.
