System Audio Files Update

Purpose:

Use this form to download an audio file to a single 3300 ICP node. You can download an audio file and use it as a Music on Hold source, an Auto Attendant system greeting, an Auto Attendant  Park and Page greeting, a mailbox greeting, a RAD greeting or an ACD embedded music source.

Use this form when performing the following tasks:

When an audio file is downloaded, its audio amplitude is normalized by the controller to ensure uniform sound level and compliance with telecommunications regulations.

Before Downloading an Audio File

To Download an Audio File

  1. Under "Audio Source", select the type of audio file you are downloading:

  2. Music and Alternate Audio Source (for System, Tenanting, and ACD Music on Hold)

  3. RAD Greeting

  4. Auto Attendant Greeting

  5. Auto Attendant Park and Page Greeting, or

  6. Mailbox Greeting (for general usage and single-digit mailboxes)

  1. If you are downloading a Music on Hold file:

  2. select the desired audio file ID The audio file IDs are used to identify embedded audio files when assigning them to tenants or ACD paths. A label beside an audio file ID indicates an existing audio file in the system.

    When downloading an audio file, select an audio file ID without a label unless you want to overwrite an existing audio file.

  3. enter a descriptive label for the audio file. If you don't enter a label, the file name will be used as a label.

  1. If you are downloading a RAD greeting, enter the RAD greeting number (1-200).

  2. If you are downloading an Auto Attendant greeting or a standard mailbox greeting:

  3. Select the appropriate greeting set from the list (Primary, Alternate 2 to 8 or Guest/Alternate 9). For the standard mailbox greeting, select Primary. Note: If a greeting set has been given a name in the VM Greetings Definition form, that name appears in the list instead of the greeting set's description.

  4. Select the type of greeting you are downloading (Bilingual Welcome, Business Open, Business Closed or Temporary for Auto Attendant greetings, or Default Mailbox for a standard mailbox greeting). Note: This step does not apply if you are downloading a Guest Login greeting.

  5. If you have a bilingual system, select the language of the greeting. The languages choices available are derived from the VM Prompt Languages form.

If you are downloading an Auto Attendant Park and Page greeting:

  1. Select Mailbox.

  2. Enter the mailbox number of the Park and Page mailbox.

  3. Select the Greeting Type.

  1. In the "Audio File" field, enter the path and filename of the audio file (or use the Browse button to select the file).

  2. Click Update.

  3. A popup message appears indicating whether the download was successful or not.

  4. Note: After all the audio files are downloaded, see Embedded Media Sources form to ensure the audio files are visible.
