PMS integration automates the management of the 3300 ICP voice mail system through the hotel's property management system. PMS integrations are available for Hotel Information Systems (HIS) and Hyatt Encore PMS systems. In the VM Options form, you must select the protocol that the hotel/motel PMS system uses to communicate with the 3300 ICP voice mail system. The default is Hyatt Encore. When using the 3300 voice mail with PMS, you need a second connection between the PMS and the 3300 ICP (see Property Management System Features for details).
Automatic voice mail set-up at check-in and check-out:
Check-in: automatic enrollment of hotel guest on the voice mail system
Check-out: automatic removal of guest mailbox from the voice mail system with storage of unplayed messages for any number of days as determined system programming (see VM Mailboxes form).
Automatic language selection: If a preferred guest language is entered in the PMS and the Bilingual option is enabled in the VM Prompt Languages form, the mailbox is automatically set-up in the preferred language.
Personal greeting: Guests are allowed to record a personal greeting (not compulsory).
Room change: The PMS automatically sends room changes to the voice mail system. The voice mail system will then transfer voice messages along with the guest password, personal greeting etc. to the new mailbox for the new room.
A third-party RS232-to-IP serial port converter (such as the Precidia Technologies Ether232) is required to connect the customer's PMS computer to the LAN which in turn connects to the 3300 ICP controller. Follow the instructions supplied with the converter to configure its Ethernet and serial port settings. The Ethernet settings (converter IP address, Subnet Mask and Gateway IP address) to use depend on the LAN configuration. The serial port settings to use are as follows:
