From a programming perspective, the 5560 IPT consists of two separate phones, a master and a slave, in a single console. Program each of these phones with a different directory number (DN). Calls to either DN will ring the 5560 IPT; however, only use the master DN as the published contact number.
Note: 5560 IPTs are only supported on 3300 ICP MXe systems. A limited number of 5560 IPTs are supported. Refer to the Engineering Guidelines for details.
Ensure the DHCP Server has been programmed.
Ensure that the IP user licenses are entered in the License and Option Selection form. Two IP user licenses are required for each 5560 IPT.
Ensure that a Class of Service, Interconnect Restriction, and Intercept Handling is programmed for the 5560 IPT device type.
5560 IPTs require a Class of Service that has the following settings:
Auto Answer - No
Disable Conference Join Tone - Yes
Disable Executive Busy Override Tone - Yes
HCI/CTI/TAPI Call Control Allowed - Yes
HCI/CTI/TAPI Monitor Allowed - Yes
Hot Desk Login Accept - Yes
Multiline Set Music - No
Privacy Released - Yes
Handsfree AnswerBack Allowed - No
All 5560 IPT DNs and any mobile DNs that are associated with the 5560 IPT must have the same Class of Restriction (COR).
For 5560 IPT resiliency:
You must configure the 5560 IPT master and slave DNs with the same primary and secondary controllers.
System Data Synchronization (SDS) must be enabled to share User and Device Data at the "Resilient Pair" scope. After you enable sharing, SDS shares the DN entries in the 5560 IPT Master/Slave Association form between the primary and secondary controller.
Multiline
IP Sets form
For the master phone
set the Device Type filed to "5560 IPT" or "Mobile DN" and assign a Prime Directory Number.
complete the Hot Desk User, Prime Directory Number, Login PIN fields (if Hot Desk User), Interconnect Number, Maximum Call History Records, Tenant Number, and Lock Default Configuration fields. The ACD Set field must be set to No.
if you want to manually configure the MAC address, enter the master MAC address. MAC addresses of the master and slave are printed on a label on the base of the 5560 IPT.
For the slave phone
set the Device Type field to "5560 IPT" or "Mobile DN". The Device Type of the slave must match the device type of the master. Assign a different Prime Directory Number than the master DN. The directory numbers for the master and slave phones must belong to the same 3300 ICP directory.
if you want to manually configure the MAC address, enter the slave MAC address. MAC addresses of the master and slave are printed on a label on the base of the 5560 IPT.
set the remaining fields to the same values as the master phone.
Multiline Set Keys
form
A 5560 IPT supports 96 programmable keys. Assign a directory number
(line appearance) or feature to the programmable keys of the master directory
number. Assign each line appearance a ring type. Do not assign directory
numbers or features to the programmable keys of the slave directory number.
After the master and slave register with the controller, the 5560 IPT
synchronizes the key programming from the master phone to the slave phone.
Notes:
Button #3 is used by the 5560 IPT and is not available. If you program button #3 with a feature or line, the system ignores the programming.
See Feature Keys for a list of the features that you can assign to the programmable keys on the 5560 IPT.
Multiline Appearance
Groups form
Change the ring type at each telephone where this number appears.
Default
Account Codes form (Optional)
Enter a default account code number that will appear in all SMDR records
for the master. Enter a different default account code number for the
slave.
Station
Attributes form
Assign the same Class of Service, Class of Restriction, and Intercept
Number to the master and slave directory numbers of the 5560 IPT.
(Optional) Assign a Default Account Code Index number to both directory
numbers.
User and Device
Configuration form
Use the User
and Device Configuration search field to locate the directory numbers
that you assigned to the master and slave. Assign the same name, department,
and location to the master and slave directory numbers of the 5560 IPT.
5560
IPT Master/Slave Association
Enter the master and slave directory numbers.
Register
the 5560 IPTs (optional).
This step is required only if the MAC addresses were not programmed
in the Multiline IP Sets form.
